Air Conditioning Reminders

To keep your air conditioner in good working order, do not run your air conditioner while windows are open.

This not only causes undue strain on the equipment, but will also increase your electric bill.

  • It is most cost effective to set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature and not adjust the setting through the day. Adjusting the thermostat to a warmer temperature during the day, or turning the unit off, will cause the system to work harder to cool the apartment back down, resulting in a higher electric bill.
  • Use ceiling fans to help circulate the air in the apartment.
  • Be sure that the air conditioner is set to “Auto”; if set to “On”, the fan will run but it will not cool.

If you experience any issues to inoperable air conditioning units, please contact the office for a work order to be placed.
