Reading is more than just fundamental, it’s life developing.  “Each year 12,500 school children from different regions of the United States read newly published children’s and young adults’ trade books and vote for the ones they like best.”

It’s always good to hear about more about young children reading and voting on their favorite books.  The benefits of daily reading are tremendous and the earlier people begin the more time they have for their minds to become stronger and developed.

EDUCATION & SCHOOL SHOPPING FOR TEENS AND PRE-TEENS

PRE TEEN EDUCATION

Is the daily peer pressures that many of our kids deal with today seem to be far greater than they were years ago when we were in school.  Have you finished your school shopping for you kids?  If not, try this.  When you’re are outschool shopping, listen to the frustration that comes from their mouth when they say “But Mooom!”  asking for those new clothes.

The world has issues going on but in the mind of a teenager or pre-teen the reality of the oil spill can’t compare to third period or those cute shoes that were on sale.  Maybe those shoes will help her grades?  It’s worth a try.  If you try it, tell her specifically what you expect.  Not as a bribe.  Whether she does well or not let her know this is a gift.  But let her know what you expect out of her.

THE GRATEFUL TEENAGER, LOL

Yeah, of course teenage son or daughter could be more considerate and grateful but don’t you remember when you were just a teen.  For your kids to begin being a bit more grateful just use words like thank you and you’re welcome with them A LOT more.  They will get it sooner or later.

School is back in session and After School Programs begin August 25th.

You can begin registering now for the After School Pit Stop program which is for kindegarden through 5th grade students.  Your child will learn more about arts & crafts and well as have homework time and play games.

The Talons Program is for grades 6th through 9th and students in these program will go over leadership training, character building, personal develop and more.
