As we grow deeper into the winter season have you  noticed that your energy bill has been raising?  If you have then here are some tips for getting Mr. Winter cold out of your apartment and your energy bill.

Mr. Winter Cold

-Make sure you check your windows.  Don’t let winter winds in your apartment.  If you have winter plastic wrap then use it.  The process is very simple and the results could mean hundreds of dollars saved this winter.

-You can also reverse your ceiling fans.  when you reverse your fans warm air is circulated and this helps to preserve energy.

-Set you thermastat at 68 degrees unless you want to raise your bill by 5 % per degree.

-Use towels around your pipes and windows.  You should also remove the snow and ice from your windows shields.

Remember just a few preventatives can help you and your family from Mr. Winter Cold.

Fight Back Against Sickness

Holiday season is one of the greatest times of the year unfortunately this is also one of the sickest times of the year.  The good news is that there are several ways to fight back, stay on the healthy side and prevent sickness especially for new mom’s with babies.

You know that body heat comes from keeping your baby close to you but did you also know that it raises your levels of the hormone prolactin, which increases immune function?

Sleep Energy
When you are fatigue your immune system becomes more vulnerable.  Take naps to keep your energy levels on high to help fight against sicknesses.

Eat Healthy
Eating the right foods will definitely help to build your immune system and keep you away from illnesses this season.

It’s official, Thanksgiving is this Thursday and you know what that means.  It means it’s time to eat like you’ve literally never eaten before.  Why does Thanksgiving always remind people of fat turkey’s with dressing and fitness centers?  Well, part of it has to do with the pilgrims back in 1921.  Then the other part has to do with people just eating a lot of food.
