Abberly Green Apartments is a great place to live but they just don’t make kids like they used to, they don’t even make toys like they used to. Do you remember the old school toys that we used to play with?
Toys like the Viewmaster- the big red goggle like pitcure viewer with the orange flicker on the side that made the clicking sound.
Or even Wooly Willy. Lol, I laugh every time I say that name. Wooly Willy was the kids toy that used a bunch of metal shavings (as hair) with a magnet to decorate his face. I used to make aunt May’s mustache on Willy; bushy, thick and long.
I know you remember the Slinky, everybody loves a Slinky, it’s been out since the 40’s and still going strong.
Hobby Town Mooresville should still carry Slinky’s that you could buy for your children, some of the other classic toys like Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots you can order from Amazon.
I was just thinking, maybe it was a combonation of the classic toys and Saturday morning cartoons that kept us out of so much trouble. Your kids will enjoy these toys.
What are some other classics that you could bring out and use to play with your children? Teens are kids too, don’t think that I’m just referring to pre-teens or babies. This is fun for everyone.
