Out of 7,930 public libraries Mooresville Public Library was rated second in the state of North Carolina for effectiveness in serving the community.
Chapel Hill came in at number one with a score of 92.3 our score brings us in as runner up was 89.4.
The Hennen’s American Public Library Ratings (HAPLR) Index looks at several categories: budget operations, staffing, circulation, the usage of the library by the community and a few other criteria as well.
“The Town of Mooresville and the citizens of our community have a library of which they can be proud,” said Library Director John Pritchard.
