The Halloween season is lots of fun. But your pets can celebrate this time of year too. If you live in an apartment in Mooresville, NC, with your 4 legged friend, here are some fun Halloween events.
So you want to spend Halloween with your favorite dog? Dress up your pup in their favorite costume and walk them over to The Dog Bar in NoDa for Howl-O-Ween. The fur-friendly event will have a doggie costume contest, dog kissing booth and more activities for you and your pooch, not to mention a food truck so you can grub while you’re there. Lucky Dog Bark & Brew in Cornelius, North Carolina, will also have a Halloween Bash for your petrifying pups to show off their best Halloween attire during the parade of costumes. And, a portion of the proceeds from both events will go to local animal rescue organizations. And don’t forget, both bars are for humans age 21 and over and furry “children” who are spayed or neutered and up-to-date on their shots.
If you want to try out your costume before Halloween, make plans to attend Barktoberfest at Triple C Brewing Co. in South End. The fido-friendly fall festival will include a doggie howl-o-ween costume contest, pooch pictures, raffle prizes and giveaways, and a 1-mile dog walk down to Canine Café.
For another fun way to dress up your pup, head to the sixth annual Ties and Tails Gala event benefiting the Humane Society of Charlotte on Oct. 25. You and your furry date can enjoy a pet parade, cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner and dancing at The Westin Charlotte. Book a night at the pet-friendly hotel to get ready before, and then spoil your pooch with a night of rest on one of The Westin’s Heavenly® Dog Beds.
