Are you trying to get your apartment in Mooresville, NC ready for spring? With all there is to take care of today, there may not be much money left over for spring decor for your apartment.
This is when you turn to making your decor on your own. These DIY spring decorations are great and it will look like you paid big bucks for them! They are guaranteed to help your home bring in the spring.
PASTEL PAINTED MASON JARS
Let’s face it: mason jars can be used for pretty much everything and every season! If you like to place artificial or live flowers around your apartment during the spring and summer, pastel painted mason jars as flower pots are perfect for you.
You will just need mason jars, as many as you like, any spring colored acrylic paint of your choosing, and Popsicle sticks. After painting the jars, before letting them dry, you can take a Popsicle stick and brush it over the “Ball” and “MASON” sections to allow the words to show through, as well as parts of the rim.
After the jars are fully dried you can put white flowers of your choice in them and line them for a centerpiece on a coffee table, window sill or dining room table.
RAIN BOOT FLOWERS
Use rain boots as flower pots; these are super cute and festive, as well as easy to create. Instead of buying a brand new pair of expensive rain boots you can get a pair that no longer fit a younger sibling or cousin, or even check out a local thrift store for some.
SPRING FLOWER INITIAL
If you are in the mood to spring up your own bedroom, a colorful flower initial will look great on your bedroom door or wall.
You will need somewhat small artificial flowers, hot glue, a wooden letter initial (first or last name), and ribbon for hanging. You will need to first cut off the flowers from the stems, then you can hot glue them right on the letter close together to look full with no showing spaces. Hang it with the ribbon. It will bring spring into your apartment no matter where you choose to put it.
WELCOME SPRING FLOWERS WOODEN SIGN
A hand-painted welcome sign is great for spring time and is very unique as well. You can make the sign as big or as small as you like depending on the amount of wood you have or want to get (aged wood looks best). Using a stencil for the “Welcome” is probably best for accuracy.
However, you should feel free to be creative when painting other decorations on the sign, like flowers. This sign can be hung on the wall or even be hung on the front door if possible.
