It’s time to start filling the sock drawers… I just got an invitation to go to a wedding this Sunday. That’s great I love weddings, I thought and then I began to reminisce.
When I was young I remember playing outside with the little boys and girls. Sometimes we would have tea parties, play house or even play wedding. We really had very vivid imaginations growing up. It seems like all of the details of the wedding were included (it’s surprising that I didn’t go into wedding planning).
We honored the traditions that we saw in the movies and someone always had to be the father who was paying for the wedding. We would really go into detail almost in competition to see who could have the most expensive idea’s.
So now it brings me to think about how much a wedding really does cost? What expenses should I expect and how much of a savings should I have stored away? I know it’s never to early to begin saving for my wedding but I don’t want to assume. I can be optimistic but my guess would be that mine nor her father will be forking over all of the cash for our wedding day.
I wrote this blog because if I have some of these questions then I know I’m not the only one. You might like this article from LearnVest.com- How Much Does A Wedding Really Cost?
